Travelodge, Emersons Green
GNA were appointed to provide a design for a number of plots on an existing office park in Emerson Green near Bristol.
The site was divided into four separate development plots with three of the plots allocated for leisure use, a pub, drive through and hotel with the fourth plot reserved for a future office use.
We designed a new 4/5 storey 90 bedroom Travelodge Hotel with associated parking and external areas.
The hotel design acting as a landmark building for the site – being close to the M4 motorway and the major Wick Wick roundabout.
The building was primarily clad in brick with cladding to the gable ends to enhance the apparent height of the building at the important view points.
The two other plots included a modular drive thru restaurant and traditional Greene King public house with associated external spaces and car parking. The development also include a pocket park for the amenity of the users.
