GNA were appointed by C and S Shopfitting Ltd to undertake RIBA Stages 4 to 6 for the project.
The works involved the design of a new roof with rooflights to the courtyard coupled with an extensive refurbishment of the ground floor and vacant third floor, providing the building with a variety of new facilities.
The atrium offers meeting, collaboration, refreshment and relaxation areas. The project included extensive structural works to accommodate the creation of the atrium and refurbishment of the existing building.
The extensive refurbishment of the four storey building was completed within 12 months. The project was nominated for 'Best Refurbished/Recycled Workspplace' at the BCO South West Regional Awards 2024 and has been shortlisted for 'Project of the Year – Workplace Interiors (15,000 to 30,000 sq ft)' at the Mix Awards 2024.
