We had an incredible opportunity to work on the refurbishment of the 1st and 15th floors at 99 Bishopsgate. Our goal was to transform the area into a more welcoming and luxurious environment for professionals.
To achieve this, we collaborated closely with our client to thoroughly understand their needs and desired outcomes for the space. The existing design lacked diversity and was monotonous. We believe it is essential to provide a variety of workspaces to cater to different working styles and preferences.
To break the monotony, we proposed integrating bespoke, organic-shaped seating, private phone booths, soft seating, and alcove seating. These elements were designed to create a dynamic and versatile work environment, enhancing both comfort and functionality.
Alcove Seating: These semi-private nooks provide a perfect balance between openness and seclusion. Alcove seating areas are ideal for small group discussions or solo work that benefits from a degree of privacy without completely isolating the user from the larger workspace.
