Watling Street and Groveland
GNA recently completed two simultaneous fit-out projects for Bob W, located in the historic St. Paul’s area of London. These projects involved working in close collaboration with the Client's designer and Main Contractor C & S Ltd to deliver 21no. apartments whilst meeting the complex design and logistical requirements.
The dual fit-out projects were situated at Watling Street and Groveland Court, both requiring extensive renovation work to transform aging buildings into modern, functional spaces. The task involved updating outdated infrastructure, introducing contemporary design elements, and maintaining the historical integrity of the sites—key requirements due to their location in the heart of London’s historic district.
Working within historically significant buildings presented a unique set of challenges, requiring GNA to strike a balance between preserving the structural integrity of the properties and modernising them to meet Bob W’s operational needs. The renovation process encountered unforeseen issues typical of older buildings, such as outdated infrastructure and space constraints. GNA’s team, leveraged careful planning and innovative solutions to overcome these challenges.
Both sites progressed simultaneously, requiring close coordination between GNA and C and S Ltd to manage design and construction activities. Effective communication was crucial to ensuring that both projects moved forward without delays while maintaining consistent quality.
Despite the challenges of renovating historic buildings, both fit-outs were completed on time and within budget, delivering vibrant, modern spaces tailored to Bob W’s needs. These projects demonstrated GNA’s ability to manage complex renovations while maintaining high standards of execution.
