This PRS apartment scheme is a new development incorporating over 400 apartments wrapping around a landscaped podium. The building heights vary to maximise the natural daylight into the communal garden area with multi-storey parking levels and 16,000 sq.ft of office/commercial accommodation below.
The design incorporates the need for a landmark development on a high profile gateway site balanced with the need to respect the scale of the existing housing in the neighbouring estate.
The design also needed to address its proximity to a very busy road and the impact of noise and air pollution. The apartments were designed to shield the raised garden areas set back from the road with the mass of the buildings stepping down towards the rear near the existing housing.
The layouts incorporate a high percentage of dual aspect apartments providing the vast majority of apartments views to the communal gardens.
