Matrix, Hornbeam Park
Located within Hornbeam Business Park on the site of the former Harrogate College the Matrix project consists of five separate units providing 170,000 sq.ft of industrial and office floor space with external service yards and car parking.
The buildings facing the main business park road were designed with a brickwork façade with a high level of glazing to echo the offices along the road. Full height vertical ribbon windows were incorporated into the warehouse areas to maximise the natural light.
With sustainability in mind from the onset, all buildings were designed with underfloor heating and an building fabric with enhanced U-Values.
Working with the nature of the existing sloping site, the front two units were designed with a suspended main floor complete with undercroft parking and storage area below.
