P + L Systems, a specialist manufacturer and distributor of insect control equipment, have been based in the Harrogate area for over twenty five years.
GNA were appointed by Hornbeam Park Developments Ltd to design a new building with the aim of bringing together the previously separate warehouse and office buildings.
The new building is located in the St James Business Park, Knaresborough with 30,000ft² of warehousing and manufacturing space, and a further 15,000ft² of office area.
The building has achieved a “very good” BREEAM rating with underfloor heating to the warehouse slab fed by air source heat pumps. The building has a simple rectangular plan, with elevations clad in a mixture of facing brickwork and composite panel metal cladding, with areas of glazed curtain walling and windows to the main frontages where the office areas are located.
