GNA has recently completed the design of a cutting-edge workspace, aimed at boosting productivity and fostering a more cohesive company culture. The multifunctional office space has been tailored to meet the needs of a diverse workforce focusing on creating a collaborative and comfortable environment that supports different working styles and team dynamics.
Project Director Neil Oxlee explained his vision for the project, saying, "The main goal was to create a well-connected, multifunctional space that not only enhances productivity but also encourages a more integrated company dynamic. We wanted the space to be inviting and comfortable, while versatile enough to support the varied needs of each team."
Key to the design is the balance between professionalism and comfort, particularly in client-facing areas. Special attention was afforded to the client zones, ensuring they convey a sense of professionalism without being overly extravagant.
A central focus of the new workspace is fostering collaboration among employees. The office now features a variety of breakout spaces, areas for small team meetings, and social zones that encourage interaction. "The idea was to create an environment that fosters positive engagement among staff, which in turn improves retention and strengthens the overall social dynamic within the team," added Neil.
Biophilia, the integration of natural elements into the design, also played a significant role in the planning process. Incorporating biophilia was seen as a very positive addition to the space. Bringing with it a sense of calm and well-being, which directly impacts productivity and morale.
The design also features a large social breakout area, offering employees a space to bond and collaborate in both formal and informal settings. We created areas for small groups to collaborate in different situations, whether formal or informal. These spaces are designed to be flexible and cater to the diverse ways people work.
In addition to team spaces, private meeting rooms for confidential discussions were incorporated, many of which are equipped with audio-visual capabilities. "Private one-on-one areas are essential for confidential meetings, and the AV capability makes it easier to expand the audience if needed," Neil explained.
Client and external visitor meetings were also a major consideration, with the introduction of a dedicated client zone. This area will be the face of the company for external visitors and has been designed to leave a lasting positive impression, reinforcing the professionalism of the business.
With this project now complete, GNA has successfully created a workspace that not only meets functional needs but also enhances collaboration, well-being, and company culture.
