GNA has recently completed two simultaneous fit-out projects for Bob W in collaboration with C and S Ltd, located in the St. Paul’s area of London, at Watling Street and Groveland Court. These projects showcased GNA’s expertise in managing complex renovations while adhering to the highest standards of design and execution.
The dual projects came with a number of unique challenges. Both sites involved significant renovations to existing buildings, which required a balance between preserving structural integrity and introducing modern, functional spaces suited to Bob W’s operational needs. The renovation work included updating aging infrastructure, integrating contemporary design elements, and maintaining the character of these historically significant locations in the heart of London.
Harry, Interior Architect at GNA, shared insights into the project complexities: “Working with historic buildings in St. Paul’s was a rewarding challenge. We had to carefully plan each step, ensuring that the new fit-out respected the architectural heritage of the area while delivering modern, high-performance spaces.”
The Watling Street and Groveland sites each had their own specific requirements, both in terms of design and logistics. Given the age of the buildings, the renovation phase encountered a few unforeseen issues that required innovative solutions. Harry highlighted the collaboration between GNA and C and S Ltd, stating, "Coordination and collaboration was key. The projects progressed in parallel, so we had to ensure that all teams, from designers to contractors, were in constant communication to avoid any delays and to maintain consistency in quality."
Despite these hurdles, the projects were completed on time and within budget, delivering vibrant, contemporary spaces tailored to the needs of Bob W. These successful outcomes were a testament to GNA's ability to manage complexity, collaborate effectively, and deliver results under pressure.
Summing up the success of the project, Harry said, "These fit-outs were an excellent example of how thoughtful design and careful planning can overcome even the most challenging site conditions. It’s always rewarding to see a project come together, especially when it’s as ambitious as this."
