GNA, in collaboration with Contract Services, has successfully delivered the RIBA Work Stages 4-6 for the CAT A refurbishment of a prestigious Grade II listed building located by the River Aire.

The project focused on revitalising the historic structure while preserving its character, bringing it up to modern standards for Grade A office use.

A key aspect of the renovation was transforming the entrance area, where a new reception, atrium, and co-working space were created. Additionally, the project involved a comprehensive overhaul of the building's WC facilities, lift, stairs, and lobby areas.

The CAT A refurbishment addressed critical elements of the building, including the repair and replacement of the original timber windows and the restoration of its stone exterior walls.

The original timber structure was retained and cast iron floor features exposed and restored.

Furthermore, a new perimeter radiator heating system was installed, complemented by centralized cooling, ensuring the building meets current energy efficiency and comfort standards.

Now completed, the building offers high-quality Grade A office space, seamlessly blending modern functionality with its rich historical architecture. The result is a series of unique, warm, and character-filled workspaces that celebrate the building’s heritage while meeting contemporary needs.

The existing entrance was replaced with new Zinc cladding and glazing.
The existing timber floor was sensitively restored throughout the landlord areas
