In 2005 as part of their ongoing rationalisation strategy, Symphony obtained detailed Planning Permission for a new 500,000sqft high bay warehouse distribution centre with offices on the site of the former Grimethorpe Colliery near Barnsley.
In 2006 Garnett Netherwood were appointed by Marshalls Construction (West Yorkshire) Ltd to take the project from the planning approved drawings through to completion on site. Garnett Netherwood were later separately appointed to carry out the office fitting out works.
